What is Sorec?

Sorec is a trust network for professional relationships. Members recommend people they know and trust, building a map of who vouches for whom — and on what topics.

Unlike traditional social networks, Sorec does not optimize for engagement or advertising. The product is designed around genuine recommendations and explicit trust decisions.

How it works

Recommend. When you know someone worth introducing, you write a recommendation and invite them to join. Your recommendation becomes part of their public profile once they accept it.

Join. Access is invitation-only. You join Sorec when someone recommends you and you accept the invitation.

Trust. When you know a member, you can trust them — broadly or on specific topics (skills, domains, interests). Trust is a separate, deliberate action from following or friending.

Discover. Public profiles show recommendations a person has received and written, along with who trusts them. This helps you understand why someone might be worth knowing.

Recommendations

A recommendation is a written endorsement from someone who knows you. Recommendations are tied to topics — areas where the recommender can speak to your expertise or character.

Recommendations must be accepted before they appear on a profile. They cannot be edited after acceptance, to preserve the integrity of what was originally said.

Trust

Trust on Sorec is unidirectional: you decide who you trust, without requiring reciprocity. You can trust someone in general, or trust them on specific topics.

Trust counts are visible on public profiles. The list of who trusts you is private to you in the app.

Access

Sorec is currently in beta and available by invitation only. If someone has recommended you, use the invitation link they sent to create your account.
